I watched this movie for the second time today. I must say that it is an excellent movie, because the wow factor it left me was just as much as the first time I watched it. It wasn't so much of how the movie was filmed, but the storyline of the movie impacted me alot. I'm so proud to be a chinese!!! Not to mention that the martial art is very impressive.
I didn't know that the movie was based on a true story, until the end of it. Yip Man, the main character of the story was known for his famous martial art skill, Wing Chun, which was originated and inspired by, ahem, a woman. Wing Chun, is known to be an elegant, gentle, fist fighting art. The way Donny Yen portrayed it in this movie was IMPRESSIVE. I was stunned even until the credits of the movie. But the most important part of the movie which left a deep impression in me was the fact that he showed himself to be a typical china man, who was willing to give up his life just to protect and sustain the pride of his land and the people. He mentioned in one of the scenes before he risked his life to fight with the japanese army leader that he will not give in because the japanese are only good at using weapons, but they will never understand the values that chinese people have, which makes them unworthy to learn chinese martial art. I was soo very impressed when he said this, which makes me so proud to be a chinese. Haha. Anyways, go watch the movie yourself, then you'll understand what i'm talking about.

As I was sitting in McDonalds studying this evening, tears started to roll down my face. All I could do was to pack my stuff and leave that place. In my car driving, I didn't know where I was heading to. I kept on driving, driving, and driving. With no destination.
God spoke. He will bring me back to a place of justice. He reminded me of how He has a hold of my life. As I weap, He weaps too. God knows the pain, and I trust that He will heal it in a matter of time. All I gotta do is surrender all.
With that said, I am giving myself a period of 3 months to pause and take one step back.

Anyway, some happy news after failing my first test not too long ago.
I've not seen this kinda results for an extremelyyy long time, but finally, thank God. Engineering Mathematics is officially my favourite subject now, after Sustainability of course. Haha.
Time flies like lightning, it's almost Christmas, AGAIN. Year after year, putting up Christmas trees, shopping for gifts and going house-to-house carolling. This year, i've attempted to do something different. Since I am so broke, I guess there wouldn't be Christmas shopping. However, i've joined a Christmas play and I managed to get a role. It will be fun, I hope. As long as I don't screw.
I like the warmth that Christmas brings, I will miss it all after this. Although Chirstmas is actually not about all the meaningless thingamajiggys, it is important for us to understand and remember the real reason for Christmas - the gift of LOVE & HOPE for mankind through the birth of Jesus Christ. Haha, that is actually part of my script for the play. But it's true and it definitely makes sense, so please do NOT give me that face =P
Out of randomness, a couple of friends of mine and myself decided we would cook for "supposedly lunch" one fine day. Our main dish would be sweet and sour pork. So, I shopped for the groceries we needed during the weekend to be taken to Semenyih. However, things didn't really turn out as expected. But I had a great time with them! And that made up for everything else that didn't work out...kekeke...
So, after our classes on the day we planned to fulfill our craving mission, we headed back home straight to prepare everything that was needed for our "masak-masak" playtime. Everyone did their part of contributing for our "supposedly lunch" =)

It was around 4 when we started cooking, so our "supposedly lunch" became our dinner. Lunner actually, like how breakfast + lunch = brunch. Haha, clever me. I guess we did enjoy ourselves after all the hardwork. The guys finally got a taste of how its like to be a housewife. So, after dinner, we gave them more practice...

Recently a friend of mine introduced this thing called "online shopping" to me. In the beginning I thought it was rather ridiculous because I didn't think it would be possible to buy something that you have not seen before and actually tried it on. However, once I checked out the websites selling clothing, I couldn't stop shopping! The clothes are all so pretty and are all so much more cheaper compared to the market price...CRAPHHH...
Anyways, coming back to the topic, I performed my third laboratory experiment today. For today's experiment, I was in charge of measuring the water flow rate by taking the time using a stopwatch. The objective was to see how much water can be collected within 50 seconds. I bet no one else can control time as accurately as I can...
No more, no less. And I managed to do that twice today!
Today (14/11/2008) is one of my beloved housemates, Siao Han's birthday! So we gave her a little surprise at midnight. We also did many other ridiculous things which I will post up the photos taken asap.
My girls have been wanting to have fish and chips for a while, and so we finally DID on Saturday night.

Apologies for the shaky shots. You know, poor people like me cannot afford a camera with anti-shake or whatever you call it. Besides, I was laughing and moving about too much while I was taking the picture.
I'm so proud of myself. I worked out quite a bit these few days. I can feel it in my muscles. Haha. Went to play badminton yesterday and jogged for 5 rounds today. Basketball later. Maybe dancing tomorrow. Just lovely.
Haha, I know i'm supposed to be studying, not posting, but I can't help it. Besides, the internet at the house in Ulu Kampung is so bad that I can't even open internet explorer, because once I do, the computer will automatically disconnect itself, smart thang. So it's now or never =D
This week has been a pretty fruitful week I must say. I managed to keep to my word and studied everyday in the library. On top of that, on Thursday night, for once in my life, I've actually experienced the freedom of staying out late without having to be afraid that my mom will chase me down with a parang knife. I'm so proud of myself!

Practices for the Christmas play have started. I'm really nervous about everything. If anyone reading this knows a little trick or two on acting, I will treat you coffee if you teach me, seriously.
I think i've put on quite a bit of weight from eating fattening food everyday. I know, and yes, Semenyih does have fattening food. Everyday pasta, pasta, pasta...pancake, pancake, pancake. My resolution from next week onwards will be to exercise atleast 3 times a week. These exercises do include basketball, badminton, and walking in the University compound from class to class according to my time table. By the way if you're not laughing, that was supposed to be a funny joke. Haha.
Alrighty then, that should be it for now...before I start cracking some lamer jokes.
I've finally watched HSM3, the entire show! And I dragged along with me a FEW other people...haha! I appreciate them coming along with me, as much as they disliked the movie...
I think I've been thinking of Zac Efron (and Kenneth of course) too much. I think i'm going to fail my Physics test which I mentioned earlier on. I'm quite sure I will. It's like, my workings are all correct, but my figures are all wrong. Sigh. It's really stressful being surrounded by geniuses here, I really have to start taking my studies seriously. Which gives me more reason to blog less, since i'll be in the library from now onwards all day, everyday.
Congratulations to Kenneth who won best speaker, again, today in a moots competition. I'm so proud of him. And he looks so very handsome in his suit.

This is favourite scene from HSM 3. I love it. And you know it is truly good, because I only use the love word when I mean it.
The movie was awesome, although I prefer HSM 1 and 2 better because the both shows have more meaning and less unnecessary singing. Haha. Actually I'm in no position giving my comment on the show because I fell asleep for atleast half the movie time. Not because it was boring, mind you, it was really really really nice, but my head was just spinning at that time. Poor me I missed Zac.
Coming back to my favourite scene. It kind of reminds me of Kenneth and yours truly. Not because I want my boyfriend to be like Zac or anything, seriously, but it reminded me of how Kenneth has always been shy in hiding his talents. I bet none of you all knew that Kenneth is an amazing dancer. I love dancing with him. Seriously, I mean it with all my heart. And I enjoy preparing dances and action songs with him for stuff like junior church, because it gives me the one and only opportunity to see him bring out the amazing, and really hot side of him. I'm sure he enjoys himself too. I just feel grateful for times where I am able to see, and even encourage him to bring out that really talented side of him because once he does, he soars like an eagle.
Okayyy...I guess i'll be going off now...I have a report to rush and a test to study for. Crappp!

It doesn't look good, but trust me, it tastes awesome...not to show off my cooking skills or whatever, after the failure at Kenneth's house. Let's not go back there.
I found out today that I'll be having a test next week on Physics. I am sooooo doomed!
So I quickly went to the library after class to borrow some books so I can study a.s.a.p.

I don't know why, but I get kind of offended when people tell me I don't look like a girl who would study engineering. Hmph. I am still not convinced that it's a good thing, because I want to look bright.

I'm reading The Daily Ding Dongs as I'm typing this. Today has been pretty eventful. I got up early to go to class as usual. I didn't manage to get enough sleep, but heck.
As I was pretty tired, I slept off for about 30 minutes in my first class, which was Sustainibility. As much as I love the subject which talks about environmental issues, I couldn't help it because I haven't been able to sleep in peace for the past few nights. And these are the reasons why:

I am serious. I'm totally afraid of making new guy friends now.
Sigh. Enough about stalker. Lets move on to my day.
Actually nothing much happened today. I had a nap after coming home from lunch with Michelle and Terry. Terry treated us, it was really nice of him, as usual. THANKS TERRY! Then I had a nap. I woke up after hearing knocking on my window, yup, I bet it was stalker. I pretended to sleep.
After doing a little of my coursework. I decided to attend the Outdoor Club's first meeting. The club is very interesting and they organise cool activities such as hiking, camping, bungee jumping, paintball etc. The next one will be White Water Rafting which will be held for 2 nights at Kuala Kubu Baru. However it costs 200 freakin' bucks, or else I would've been the first to sign up for it.
We left halfway through the meeting, because we were bored and hungry...
